Johnson County Schools COVID-19 Dashboard Posted On: Sunday, November 15, 2020 Thanksgiving lunch for our students will be on Thursday, November the 19th . Due to COVID guidelines, we are saddened to announce that we will not be allowed to have family members in our building to eat with their child. Posted On: Sunday, November 8, 2020 If your child is virtual and plans on returning in-person on the 18th, please contact Central Office or call the school and we will tell you what you need to do. If you need your child dropped off earlier than 7:45, you will need to sign them up for LEAPs or Kid's Corral. * Again, I would like to caution everyone to be safe in our pick-up line. Be patient as you wait for the car in front of you to pull ahead. Do not pass cars even if your child has loaded or unloaded, unless you are directed to do so. * Please do not pull around to the front for afternoon pick-ups until 2:55pm. Students will attend school for a 1/2 day on the 25th and will not return until November 30th. There will not be LEAPs on the 25th. The other option is to choose three lunch items plus a milk and get all of it for free. Coping Skills Resource Guide Posted On: Tuesday, October 27, 2020 In partnership with ETSU Rural Track Medical Students and Jacob McGlamery the school based mental health clinician, we are pleased to present you with a "Coping Skills Resource Guide." This is a guide for parents, teachers and students and contains several useful resources to help maintain good mental health especially during these trying times. Please share this with students and parents as you see fit. This guide was created by the students for their research project and a survey will be sent out later this year to gauge how effective these resources are for you. Johnson County Schools' Family Resource Center works in solidarity with the community to meet the needs of our students and families. We offer basic necessities to families, as well as, provide resources, referral resources, and support. It is our commitment to families that we will adhere to high ethical standards and will work hard to break down the barriers that your family may be facing. The FRC works with students and families to meet needs that affect the learning process in the classroom. This is done by including services in schools, linking families to agencies in the community, providing free laundry services, hygiene items, and more. Updates to the Johnson County Schools Call Out System Posted On: Thursday, November 7, 2019 Johnson County Schools have been using software for several years to communicate with its parents, staff and students about local events, school schedule changes and general school related information. There have been some major updates to the software over the past couple of months that have not allowed our e-mail communication to go out alongside our voice messages. This has created some confusion and has limited effective communication between the schools and parents. With assistance and guidance from our software team at School Messenger, we have a solution in place that will allow everyone to continue receiving calls via voice and e-mail.
